Feral Anti-classes 3.1

I havent got a full list but so far i encountered and found the following classes pretty hard to defeat.

Resto druids- I think their healing is a bit out of hand, good mana regen, excellent cc and thorns tanking. A real nightmare for rogues, hard for ferals too. Try to keep up SR and maxed out bleeds and mangle, and go for berserk 5cp stun and shredspam.

Affliction, destruction locks- Affliction lockz are a real threat out there. They have excellent survivability, teleport, fel synergy-soul link, healthstone, and their damage is deadly. If you let them just a few seconds, you can easily find yourself heavily debuffed and already dieing. Demonology locks are mediocre threat i think, their dps ofc rotates around metamorphosis.

Rogues- It depends on opening again, i often go for a smvanish reopen from bear, and im somehow more forced to tricks (smvanish blind, feral catstep sprints) to overcome them. It is a really balanced, and deadly fight for both players.

Ret paladins-Greywords kicked my ass 10 times in a row. I unloaded all my cds and this was the fight status when i smvanished to prowl with 230 hp.
If i stick to bear, i cant to enough dmg. He simply SOL and seal of light himself up to full. if i go cat he HOF my pounce and bashes me with so much dmg thats disgusting.
Maim is a waste of cps here he has stund reduction talent and after opening i only have 1-3cp's stunning only for 1-2~secs max. I tried to cyclone immediately but i got repentanced. I even have judgement of justice on me, and this way he keeps me ahead of him(no shred) and my mangles cost me 38 energy:S
I didnt trinket it, cuz i was saving it for HOJ. so i got destroyed over and over tonight. i still have to find out a working strategy!
This was my best attempt, i could only force him to bubble 2 timed outof 12.

Feral 3.1 pvp

I adapted my dps rotations to the changes, so no more or very few maims, if not looking out for an interrupt. More aggressive playstyle then ever, basically you open, go for a few cp SR throw on mangle and rake, then berserk shred till 5cp and rip, renew rake, dps dps.
I fought quite a few 1v1's in skirmish, with GOOD opponents, and i have to admit i found myself struggling against ROGUES. I still have to figure out how to deal with their insane aggressive cd burning dps style. Bear form is not tough enough anymore.Locks and SP's fights are balanced, i think they more then fine atm.

Day 2

Feral felt way better today, maybe its me getting used to the new rotations.

Oh and cat form rip crits activate savage def, in bear.

Back! Kinda...

Just spent some chillout time online, playing 3.1 feral. It felt kinda weird really(first of all fuck unmercey's uberpro vid for making me log on), 3.1 feral is nowhere as dangerous as it was. Thoky kicked my ass 3 times in a row, i was quite rusty, and badly specced too. So i spent 150 again at the trainer, and went for full PT and SOTF once again. The sad 1 point in imp.mangle doesnt help my rotations but its more then nothing.Defense is shitty, feels you can be bursted down in one kidney in BEAR, especially against a rogue who KNOWS what hes doing. Stun dmg reduction only in cat, savage def.=dubious usefulness, lifebloom is a pile of shit atm, you recast SR anim every time you reenter cat, why oh why. Maim is not my favorite move in cat anymore, for a shitty 1cp/1sec stun ? no thanks lets try to rip the fuckers out there asap.Too bad the other classes got some serious buffs, and..well you wont like me for saying this, but feels they can burst my ass in seconds, especially ret palas and locks.

Oh yes locks, gotta love the new aftermath daze effect and the imp fear->movement speed reduction. Ridiculous.
Rogues are more then fine i think right now. Warriors can charge the shit outta you with juggernout and warbringer. Pala was exorcisming me from far away wtf?
Affli lockz and destro lockz are waaaay op. I met a good destro and i was struggling against him in ab, won with 200hp left or so... and im not even in human form =/ seduction. Shit.

Fuck it, nvm, i shadowmelded a kidney in ab, and kicked Sumák's ass in skirmish:P (you ate that smvanish reopen hehe)

3.1 druid changes

a bit late on the post, but some of my thoughts on them nevertheless. green buff, red nerf.
Druid (3.1 Skills List / 3.1 Talent + Glyph Calc.)
  • Abolish Poison: Now ticks every 3 seconds, up from every 2. Now lasts 12 seconds, up from 8. A bit slower but lasts longer, definitely a buff in my eyes.
  • Faerie Fire and Faerie Fire (Feral): Now decreases armor of your target by 5%. Has a 5-minute duration, and a 40-second PvP duration. Minus armor reduction overall, sad sad.
  • Feral Faerie Fire: The damage generated by this ability in Bear Form and Dire Bear Form has been increased substantially. Great, i love it.
  • Innervate: This spell no longer costs mana. Finally, good change.
  • Lifebloom: Mana cost of all ranks doubled. When Lifebloom blooms or is dispelled, it now refunds half the base mana cost of the spell per application of Lifebloom, and the heal effect is multiplied by the number of applications.
  • Maim: This ability is now considered a stun, and shares a diminish category with all other stuns. It no longer has a chance to break from the target taking damage. Duration lowered to 1 second per combo point. Well we have to live with this change, at least its not breaking on dmg anymore.
  • Pounce: No longer affected by diminishing returns with other stuns, however, it now shares a diminishing return with Cheap Shot (Rogue).
  • Savage Defense: Trainable at level 40 with Dire Bear Form as a prerequisite. When the druid deals a melee critical strike, it gains a physical damage shield equal to 25% of its attack power. The next hit completely consumes the shield, regardless of how much damage was done. Only active in Bear Form. Nice, but to bad you cant feel the benefit of it when youre are stunned to death.
  • Swipe: The Bear Form and Dire Bear Form version of this ability no longer has a targeting requirement and hits targets behind the druid and to the sides. I want a cat form version too, it still reqs. nrg dont forget, so DR still better for stealth breaking.
  • Heart of the Wild: Stamina bonus changed to 2/4/6/8/10%.
  • Predatory Strikes: This talent no longer works when in Moonkin form.
  • New Talent: Primal Gore: Grants the periodic damage from your Lacerate and Rip abilities the chance to critically hit.
  • Primal Tenacity: The damage reduction while stunned effect now only works in Cat Form. Deja vu, pretbc feeling on the talent, i wont use it anymore. Yes, i wont.
  • Rend and Tear: The critical strike bonus for Ferocious Bite reduced to 5/10/15/20/25%, down from 10/20/30/40/50%. :O
  • Savage Roar is now considered an Enrage effect and now increases physical damage done by 30% instead of increasing attack power. Too bad its enrage, hunters can tranqshot it off, while rogues can wpnswap to anas.poison to get it off.
  • Survival of the Fittest: Bonus armor reduced to 11/22/33% instead of 22/44/66%. Yuck, its getting worse every time.

God is a Deadly Gladiator

"We won, we lost, but in the end we were back there against Reckful again. Both priests were down, it was rogue/mage mirror again. Reckful was again, headed toward the box's, Twsty kept Hypez away, I launched my pyro rocket and deadly throw to keep Reckful in combat, and as mutilate vs shadow dance, with both of us out of CDs, I chased after him like Noktyn heading toward a buffet line. When I landed the kidney shot, behind the pillar, away from both mages, one mutilate away from sealing the deal to top 32, I saw the message in Reckful's eyes. It wasn't filled with sorrow, all I saw was encouragement.

"Yattane." Reckful dies and we squeezed into top 32. Story book ending?"
