Fuck you Cataclysm

"At first sight i am very very disappointed in these changes.

Most of them seems very boring and weak. Especially compared to warlock changes which will give locks many new strong and funny, enjoyable spells and abilities. I even love DK's Dar Simulacrum.

I was waiting for a roar which gives a limited snare immunity for my party or something, maybe a wall of thorns (if blizz is so into AOE stuff now) or earthquake (point blank aoe interrupting spells) or a poison finisher.

Instead, this is what we are getting. Shame and pity really.

Btw. there are too many grip and knockback mechanics being deployed I think that is wrong too. But that is just my opinion."

New Druid Abilities

Thrash (Level 81): Thrash deals damage and causes all targets within 10 yards to bleed every 2 seconds for 6 seconds. The intent here is to give bears another button to hit while tanking. Talents will affect the bleed, such as causing Swipe to deal more damage to bleeding targets. 5-second cooldown. 25 Rage.

Stampeding Roar (Level 83): The druid roars, increasing the movement of all allies within 10 yards by 40% for 8 seconds. Stampeding Roar can be used in cat or bear form, but bears might have a talent to drop the cooldown. The goal of this ability is to give both bears and cats a little more situational group utility. 3-minute cooldown. No cost.

Wild Mushroom (Level 85): Grows a magical mushroom at the target location. After 4 seconds the mushroom becomes invisible. Enemies who cross the mushroom detonate it, causing it to deal area-of-effect damage, though its damage component will remain very effective against single targets. The druid can also choose to detonate the mushroom ahead of time. This is primarily a tool for the Balance druid, and there will be talents that play off of it. No cooldown. 40-yard range. Instant cast.

Cataclysm class plans

After checking out MMO-s posts on the class mechanic and talent changes, I have to say, Warlock seems to be the most improved class so far.

We have warrior, priest(gripping mechanics AGAIN here) death knight and rogue changes told. Warrior will be using a heroic leap and dealing more dmg with a full rage bar. Herois strike will be instant cast just like Maul, and will be using 10 to 30 rage to hit weaker or harder.

Death knight, will be using a spelllike ability and melee strike, which will apply a debuff on the target, Dark Simulacrum which will copy the next incoming spell and make it usable for the DK. For example, cyclone lands with the debuff on you. Cyclone expires, dk free dk casts cyclone. You are cycloned.
They also gain a necrotic strike ability which is a mortal strike effect, it absorbs healing done on the target after (4-6k)that it fades heals will heal the hp finally.

Rogue buffs are mediocre. A new evasionlike ability with percentage based dmg reduction, and AOE smoke bomb which forces enemies to enter the cloud to be able to target direct targets. Or use AOE spells.

I am still waiting for the druid buffs. But I am quite pessimistic..

My level 85 talent choice



Some of the brand new Cataclysm mechanics for warlocks. Just my favorites.

Fel Flame (level 81): Quick-hitting spell dealing Shadowfire damage. This is similar to the mage ability Frostfire Bolt, in that the lower of the two resistances (in this case shadow and fire) on your target will be used for calculating its damage. Additionally, Fel Flame refreshes the duration of Immolate and Unstable Affliction. Our goal for Fel Flame is to provide a spell that's good for mobility and for use by Destruction and Demonology specs. Also, did we mention it uses green fire? Yep. Instant cast.

  • Summon Demon + Soul Burn = summon the demon instantly.
  • Drain Life + Soul Burn = Reduces cast speed by 60%.
  • Demonic Circle + Soul Burn = Increases movement speed by 50% for 8 seconds after teleporting.
  • Unstable Affliction + Soul Burn = Instantly deals damage equal to 30% of its effect.
  • Soul Fire + Soul Burn = Instant cast.
  • Healthstone + Soul Burn = Increases total health by 20% for 8 seconds.
  • Searing Pain + Soul Burn = Increases the crit chance of Searing Pain by 100%, and subsequent Searing Pain spells by 50% for 6 seconds.

The succubus melee range will be increased. The succubus will no longer have Soothing Kiss, but will instead have Whiplash, which knocks back all enemies within 8 yards.
Grapple and knockback mechanics are the worst that could happen to this game imho.

All warlock damage-over-time (DoT) spells will benefit from crit and haste innately. Haste will no longer act to reduce the DoT's duration, but rather to add additional ticks. When reapplying a DoT, you can no longer "clip" the final tick. Instead, this will just add duration to the spell, similar to how Everlasting Affliction currently works.
EVERlasting got it?:)

Shadowburn will now do additional damage to targets below 25% health.
Another execute mechanics because we needed it so badly.

"For the most part, talents that reduce a chance to be dispelled are going away. We want dispels to be more expensive, but we also want them to be effective when you do choose to use them, so we want to downplay the random aspect."


i just hate when my abolish poison gets resisted, tho a. poison itself will be removed from the game.

Account restored

ingame mails were waiting for me, containing all of my stolen ingame properties plus a core hound pup pet:) gm support were and is top notch (maybe the ticket handling speed is a bit slow) i have everything i lost (except my dragon hide bag nvm). it was quite a mess to choose from which trinket/gear were in bank or in bags but i managed to sort them out.

i am ordering a batle,net authenticator with the guys, my antivirus/spybot programs are up and running on both computers from now on, and i am changing my pw even more often.

it is sad that this can happen, but at least i got everything back. i am doing a night shift again tomorrow, will be able to play late night on wednesday maybe.

Account stealing

i logged into the game 9 pm yesterday after a hard days work (yes i usually do work during easter, as do i work during christmas and so on) getting disconnects all the time. finally i could log on the 3rd time or so, only to find my character stripped of his bags and contents and his money. i was flying over WG, falling into death without working macros and keybinds.

my bank was empties, which was sellable was sold and all my emblems were used. i had more then 90 trinkets, i only have 20 now. i still have my wrathful gear on me, i logegd into the game somehow in time, but all my other equipments(wrathful healing + offhand) were deleted. even my w. lucky necklace was sold.

still i bought a blue pvp trinket and we played some 2v2's up to 2130~.
i am still waiting for the "awesome" support to reply to my ticket.

which will not happen until tomorrow im sure. minimum.
